A Charles I Oak Centre Table
The top, constructed from three thick oak boards, secured to the top rails with square oak pegs. The rails themselves are decorated by a deep run moulding, and the table stands on four well-turned columnar legs, joined by all around stretchers. Lovely deep, original colour and patination.
English, circa 1640.
Width 36 inches, height 28 inches, back to front 23.5 inches.
