A Charles I Oak Joint Stool

The top of this beautifully proportioned stool is secured by six square pegs into a shaped and moulded frieze. The elongated baluster and reel-turned legs terminate on block feet joined by square stretchers.

English, circa 1630-40.

Height 21 inches, width 17.5 inches, depth 11 inches.
