An Elegant Pair of Early 19th Century Scottish Thistle Measures

The tulip-shaped curved baluster drums, standing on a flared foot, and stamped for half a gill and a quarter of a gill. Around the rim, are various small stamps, including a crowned GR.

Scottish, circa 1820-30.

Provenance – from the collection of a highly regarded Essex metalware collector.

Taller height 3.25 inches, shorter height 2.25 inches.
